The Mind Lab program can work as a standalone curriculum imparting cognitive, social and emotional skills or can work in conjunction with an educational program already in place at your institution. For instance...
- Aventura Charter School is planning on using Mind Lab this year in conjunction with their 8th grade Career Exploration and Skills course.
- A number of K-5 schools in the Middle and Far East take advantage of Mind Lab's versatility to enrich their violence prevention programs, teaching students respect, tolerance and self-awareness for themselves, their team mates and their opponents through peaceful game play.
- North Side Elementary School will offer Mind Lab as an in-school program to its second grade students as part of a joint effort to enhance their scholastic achievements and FCAT scores.
- American Heritage School is an independent, nonsectarian, and co-educational day school for grades Pre-K through 12 with approximately 2,350 students. American Heritage School seeks to develop the full potential of each child to be an active, intelligent, creative and contributing member of the society of the 21st century. Starting September 2007, Mind Lab will be offered as an after-school program to children aged 4- 10 at the American Heritage Plantation Campus.
- Mind Lab is also used at the Middle School Level as a mediation and conflict resolution program to ease student transition to adolescence and high school, as well as with youth development programs geared at enhancing interpersonal relationships and the student's ability to act when faced with decision making junctions.
- Not to be overlooked are Mind Labs academic strengths. Approximately 94% of all schools which employ the Mind Lab method currently incorporate Mind Lab directly into the school day to enrich pre-existing mathematical problem solving and language skills and communications.
